Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has firmly dismissed insinuations that his administration harbors bias against the people of Saki in terms of developmental projects.

Speaking at the 2026 Budget Stakeholders’ Engagement held in Saki, Governor Makinde—represented by his deputy—addressed concerns suggesting that his government has been antagonistic toward the community’s progress.
The governor’s response followed an appeal from some participants urging him to forgive any perceived offenses that might have emanated from individuals within the Saki community.
In his remarks, the Deputy Governor clarified that the Makinde-led administration does not and will not attribute the actions of individuals to the collective populace of any community. He emphasized that governance under Governor Makinde remains rooted in fairness, equity, and inclusiveness.
“The perception isn’t true and should be dismissed,” he stated, reaffirming the government’s dedication to ensuring balanced development across all regions of the state.“This administration cannot hold an entire community to ransom simply because an individual may have offended the governor in one way or another,” he added.
The event further highlighted the state government’s commitment to participatory governance, as stakeholders were actively engaged in shaping the 2026 budget.
Governor Makinde reiterated through his deputy that his administration remains focused on delivering sustainable development and equal opportunities to every zone in Oyo State, without prejudice or favoritism.
